Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded into fame in 1994 when she released her album debut Age Ain't Anything But a Numer. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold status. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration which brought her into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. The album contained the single If You Girls Only Knew the top-selling single. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B artist after her album's release. The actress uses Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her stage name. Her acting career started in the early 2000 with small parts in movies and TV. Other notable works she has done comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. The actress has been featured in commercials for big companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. The mother of her daughter resides in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.
