Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously following her first enrollment as a student at Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included performances in films like Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point for her career. Witherspoon was awarded an Academy Award for her performance in Walk the Line in 2005. She is a talented artist and painter, in addition to being a successful actress.
